Can I get my deposit back if I cancel?

If your order is cancelled more than 48 hours before the start of your

rental period, you will be issued a complete refund. If the cancellation request happens within 48 hours of the start of your rental period, a $75 booking fee will be withheld. For instance, if you booked a rental from Friday to Sunday (standard weekend rental). you must cancel your rental by Wednesday at 11:59pm to avoid the $75 booking fee.

Do I need to bring my own food?

Although we do provide you with dinners, you will need to bring your own breakfast and lunch. We recommend packing sandwiches for lunch and bringing light snacks like dried fruits and nuts. For breakfast, something light and quick like packaged oatmeal works well - you can also add some nuts for a little extra flavour!

What kind of gear do I need to bring?

Thankfully we've got all of that covered! The only kind of equipment you'll need are clothes and hiking boots!

You can also check our blog post "Overnight Packlist" to get an idea of what we bring! We do also highly recommend bringing toilet paper. For sanitary/environmental reasons, we are unable to provide any.

How do I use the gear provided?

Instructions for equipment are provided in the packs. We also offer demonstrations of how to use the gear at the drop-off and will gladly answer any further questions you may have.

How much water should I bring?

We are firm believers in hydration, so we recommend carrying a minimum 1L water-bottle per person, and we provide you with water purifying tablets so you can refill them along the way (instructions included). It is possible there will not be water sources on certain hikes, so we always suggest planning for that just in case.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Unfortunately we cannot control the weather, and seeing as we live in the Pacific North West it can be hard to predict, so we recommend you always prepare for the worst. Pack a rain coat and rain pants if you have them. Our tents are waterproof and the bags come with rain covers to keep everything dry. We are not able to offer refunds if you cancel due to weather.

Do I need to get a permit for the hike I have planned?

Most likely; depending on the hike and camping area you may need a camping reservation or backcountry permit, but don't worry - we are here to help. We can send you a direct link to whatever permit you may need - availability is out of control, so please plan in advance.

Do you offer guided hikes?

We do! We now offer guided hikes with a professional guide to help you along the way! If you are interested in this please visit our "Guided Hikes" page and feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have about setting it up!

How do I know where to set up camp on the hike?

Campsites can vary depending on which hike you have chosen. Once you have decided on a hike we will provide you with any information you may need on where to set up camp.

How do I return the gear after my hike?

You have two options: we can either come pick up the gear from the same location as the drop-off; or if you pass by the North Shore on your way home, we greatly appreciate if you drop off the gear at our business location.

I added the camera option; how will I get my photos?

No need to worry about getting the photos: simply return the camera (with the film in it) and we will take care of the rest. When we take the film to be developed we will have the photos sent directly to your email so they will be for your eyes only!

What forms of payment do you accept?

We only accept credit card payments. For each transaction we keep the credit cards used on file, kept secure through SquareUp.
